Are chronic non-healing wounds common?
Three to five million Americans suffer from debilitating painful non-healing wounds due to diabetes or poor circulation. Our integrated team of dedicated, trained physicians and nurses use the latest aggressive and comprehensive therapeutic procedures to heal wounds.
At your first visit
Before beginning treatment, The Wound Healing Center doctors and nurses will evaluate your wound and review your medical history and general health. You may have blood tests ordered. You may also have special tests to provide us with information about the flow of blood and oxygen to your wound.
Your treatment program
Once your test results are in, our Wound Healing Center team will develop a treatment program based on your special needs. Healing of your wound will be evaluated at each follow-up visit. Your program will involve regular visits to The Wound Healing Center to provide treatment, follow progress, and make any changes that may be required. You and/or your care-giver will also be instructed in home wound care, dressing (bandage) changes, and ways to protect your wound from further injury.
You are a vital part of your treatment program
